Pick one workstream and a period you've already closed. Sign the mutual NDA and send the files. We send the output back within one business day of complete files, then go through it with you side by side in a 15-minute review. It costs you about 45 minutes and no fee. There's no obligation to continue.
Step 1: Pick One Workstream and a Closed Period
Pick the work that eats the most time, or the one you'd most like to check. Choose a period you've already closed, so your own finished version is there to compare against.
Covering a vacant seat? Start with the workstream that seat owned.
Step 2: Sign the NDA and Send the Files
We sign a mutual NDA first. You can read the now. Then you export the reports and send them. No logins, no system access. Pulling the files usually takes about 30 minutes.
| Workstream | Files to send |
|---|---|
| Accruals and AP cutoff | AP bill history (6 to 12 months by vendor), AP register for the first 10 to 15 days after period end, trial balance, last period's accrual schedule |
| Bank and card reconciliations | Bank and card CSVs or statements for the period, GL detail for the cash and card accounts, last period's reconciliations |
| Balance sheet reconciliations | Trial balance, GL detail for the accounts in scope, AP and AR listings, last period's reconciliation workbook |
| Consolidation and intercompany | Trial balance for each entity, intercompany GL detail, last period's consolidation workbook |
| First-draft financial statements | Trial balance, last period's statements in your format, your account mapping if you keep one |
| Board pack and variance commentary | Trial balance or P&L actuals, the budget for the period, last period's pack |
Payroll can come as totals, and you can remove names before sending. Not sure what to include? Send what you have and we'll tell you what's missing. The one-business-day clock starts when the files are complete.
Step 3: Get It Back and Compare
You get the output in your layout: the schedule, reconciliation or draft, any proposed entries, and a list of flagged questions where the data didn't show the answer. Every number is calculated in code and tied to your trial balance, and a person at Flux reviews it before you see it.
Then we spend 15 minutes going through it next to your own version. Where the two differ, we show what we used and what we didn't have.

Common Questions
Why a period we've already closed?
Because you already have the right answer. You can check our work line by line against your own, with nothing riding on it.
How long until we get it back?
Within one business day of complete files. If anything on the checklist is missing, we ask before we start.
What if your output doesn't match ours?
That's what the review is for. Each difference is something we missed, something your files didn't show, or a judgment call your team made. We go through them together.
What do we have to sign?
The mutual NDA, before any files are shared. We send it over before any files are shared.
Is there any obligation to continue?
No. If you don't continue, your files are deleted within 90 days, or sooner if you ask.
